April 25 is the day when Moonlight fans tune in to CBS at 9pm to enjoy a new episode of the vampire detective series. When we last saw Moonlight, Mick’s ex-wife and sire Coraline has given him a cure that made him temporarily mortal. While his new state may encourage him to get cozy with reporter Beth Turner, she just might not succumb that easily given that Mick refused to turn her dying boyfriend into a bloodsucker. But still, this leaves a whole new world of possibilities for these two to explore.

According to Alex O’Loughlin, who plays vampire private investigator Mick St. John, fans can look forward to a lot of steamy storylines when Moonlight returns with new installments.

“Sex and drama. Lots of sex and drama. Sexy sex and sexy drama,” O’Loughlin said of the upcoming episodes. “We’re just finishing up episode 14, which leads to 15 and 16.”

While the cast of Moonlight hasn’t started shooting the last of the four new installments, which is also the season finale, O’Loughlin reveals that things are getting more and more exciting for his character.

“Things are getting bigger. It doesn’t feel like a finale. It feels like a beginning. I don’t feel like we’re riding for the end. We are at beginning of something huge. I haven’t read episode 16, which is our final installment, but I’ve just finished 15, and it’s fantastic. It’s so full of life, it’s awesome stuff. It’s got some incredible flashbacks, and it’s got some Mick emotion that will knock everyone out of their socks. It’s got a whole bunch of stuff that will really rock the fans,” the Moonlight actor said.

In addition to Alex O’Loughlin, Moonlight also features Jason Dohring as Josef Konstantin, Shannyn Sossamon as Coraline, and Sophia Myles as Beth Turner.
